Does anyone know if there are tours of the leading watch makers in Switzerland (say Rolex in Geneva) ? I would be very interested to see how they go about creating these masterpieces.

I don't know about tours of the Rolex factory, I had heard that they don't do tours but maybe this has changed...

The Geneva tourism office can organise tours on the history of watchmaking if you're interested. Also you can try visiting the Philippe Patek museum see their site here http://www.patekmuseum.com/

Well thanks Marine. After further research it appears as if you are correct. Rolex doesn't offer tours. Thanks for the link to the Patek Museum, it is an idea I hadn't previously thought about. Do you have contact details for the tourist office?
