This exhibition, as part of the 450th anniversary celebrations of the University of Geneva is unique in its kind in Geneva. The exhibition presents the nucleus of a cell, measuring 14m. An exhibition of portraits and stories of women in the Middle East; Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Jordan, Syria, Gaza and the West Bank. The photographs, taken by reporter Alexandra Boulat, show the world in which Muslim women live, their everyday struggle, and the political and social activity of the women who decide to work. The Festival Arbres & Lumières presents over 50 illuminated trees throughout the town. Each tree is decorated with lights, colour and sometimes music and then signed by the designer. Dated to be confirmed.

Jubilee to celebrate the 500th anniversary of the birth of Jean Calvin. Events and activities all on the theme of Jean Calvin, the Geneva-based leader of the Protestant Reformation, will take place at various locations in Geneva.

CinéGlobe 2010 is the second edition of the International Short Film festival that will be held at CERN and in Meyrin in February 2010. As part of the selection process, the organisers will show some of the films to the public, voting sheets will be provided, to know how the public feels about each film.
